Dead teeth whether root treated or not have long been associated with cancer

This is a selective transcript of part of the presentation by
Professor Wolfgang Koestler, President of the Austrian Society of Oncology.
I have tried to keep the transcript authentic so that the variation in translation from Austrian to English is maintained.
The presentation was made at the
14th International Health Conference of the
Australian Integrative Medicine  Association 19th – 21st September 2008

“Chronic inflammation is a identified as a progenitor and promoter of malignant diseases.”

“If we look at the combination of bacterial and viral infections we can see that the mouth is a big source of chronic persistent inflammation in most of the people.”  Prof Koestler continues to discuss slides of chronic inflammation of the gums, periodontosis and vertical bone loss as a seat of chronic inflammation and infection.

“Root filled teeth, periodontosis and loss of attachment is a sign of chronic inflammatory process in the bones of the gums” …

Next he shows a slide of the x-rays of teeth of a breast cancer patient… “a lot of teeth are root filled, there are a lot of granulomas on top of the root filled teeth,  you see the heavy metals which additionally are a factor which increases inflammation and oxidative stress in this area.”  … “this patient was treated by a holistic dentist,  and she is still alive.”

“Why is the root filled teeth such a problem?  You can see the dentist can clean up  just the main channel of the teeth and in the side arms the bacteria and infections materials stay on.  …  So that is the risk why root filled teeth are always a source of chronic inflammation and chronic infection. “

He then shows a slide of a diagrammatic view of an abscess above the end of the root of a tooth…. “On top of these root filled teeth you see a gangrenous area which is a huge local of infection and of infiltration and of inflammation to the human being bearing such a granuloma of gangrene.  Also a remaining root can be a source of inflammation and irritation …”

“Typical for the breast cancer patient is the breast related teeth, (and in this slide on both sides of the mouth) both teeth are root filled and are since years disturbing area in the energy flow, in the meridians, of this person…”

He then goes on to show slides of a patient with brain tumours and colon cancers and noted the cause of these cancers as due to root filled teeth on typical areas related to the various cancers.

“If you would give these patients chemotherapy before removing all of the inflamed and irritated teeth then there is a high risk that these patients, because of immune suppression, will develop some problems in his mouth.”

Professor Koestler then shows a slide of a person who has had a lot of cosmetic dentistry, including many root fillings and a great deal of metallic crown and bridgework.  He describes what he shows as “This si not a healthy person after all of this teeth repair.  This is a person who has a good cosmetic result, but form the medical point of view this person has a lot of inflammatory areas in his body…”
